You will have seen, I am sure, the message this evening from the Prime Minister. He has announced a full nationwide lockdown, and as part of this that all schools will be closed from tomorrow (Tuesday 5th January) with the exception of Key Worker children and those pupils that have been identified as requiring additional support. Currently it appears that schools will be closed until February half term.
I am extremely sorry that this information is coming to you so late in the day.
Your child will be provided with high quality remote learning from Tuesday morning, in the form of live lessons where identified on the timetables issued today, or uploaded, pre-recorded sessions in their other lessons.
If you are unable to access these materials for lack of appropriate devices or technology, please inform the school quickly so we can support you and your child. As before, we really appreciate your help in supporting your child to do as much work as they can at home to ensure that they continue with their learning using the high quality materials our dedicated staff team have produced.
Teachers and staff will all continue to work extremely hard during this time, preparing and responding to pupils’ work, and contacting you and your child regularly to make sure that we keep in close touch with you. If you have any queries or concerns during this time, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us and we will do our very best to help.
