Geography

Curriculum Intent

It is our intent for the geography curriculum to inspire and spark curiosity and excitement in learners about the world and a fascination about its people that will remain with them for the rest of their lives. Teaching will equip learners with knowledge about diverse places, promote social justice and inspire solutions to our depleting resources. We should also support natural and human environments, together with a deep understanding of the Earth’s key physical and human processes; whilst engendering tolerance, optimism and hope in our learners. We want learners to gain confidence and practical experiences of the geographical knowledge, understanding and skills that explain how the Earth’s features at different scales are shaped, interconnected and change over time to empower them to create a better world.
